Everybody asks about Easter lilies! Can they go outside; can I
plant them in my garden? And to this I reply, "Why not?" Like
other bulbs,there
are two options if you plant your leftover Easter lily bulbs -
either they will live and flower for many years (it is perfectly
hardy into zone 4) or they will immediately die. If you don't
plant the bulb, it will definitely die. So you have nothing to

colors, their shapes' everything about flowers is beautiful. A
colorful, cheerful flower can brighten even the darkest day.
Even more enjoyable than looking at flowers, though, is growing
them. Flowers can be bought from pots and replanted. They can
also be grown from clippings. However, one of the most popular
ways of growing flowers is from bulbs and seeds.
Growing flowers outdoors from bulbs is simple; in fact, it is so
easy that ...

In most homes, lighting accounts for around 10-15 per cent of an electricity bill. Energy Saving Recommended bulbs work in the same way as fluorescent lights. An electric current passes through gas in a tube, making the tube's coating glow brightly.
Traditional bulbs waste a lot of their energy by turning it into heat. Replacing just one of your traditional bulbs to an energy saving bulb can reduce your lighting costs by up to £100 over the lifetime of the bulb thats £9 a year which more ...

Choosing the right bulbs involves more than just selecting
colors and cultivars. Timing, bulb size, and most importantly,
bulb health are equally significant factors in designing your
spring garden.
Before purchasing any bulbs, know the differences in bulb types.
Along with true bulbs, several types of flowers, sold as bulbs,
grow from the underground stem growth of rhizomes, tubers, and
corms.
- True bulbs are rounded, self-sufficient,

Lighting for seniors requires attention to some specific
details. When planning a lighting design for aging baby boomers
we want to provide both adequate light to see clearly and a safe
environment. With a combination of recessed, pendant, track and
wall fixtures, these needs can be met. It is very important that
certain areas be well lit. Areas like stairs and bathrooms where
so many accidents occur or basements, which are usually dark.
Kitchens require a great deal of light so food can be ...

There are dozens of different light bulbs that are made by hundreds of manufacturers. One of these is known as the halogen light bulb. In order to understand how it is used you must first understand how it works and why they are great for people to use. A halogen light bulb is incandescent where a tungsten filament is tightly sealed into a small and compact transparent envelope. This envelope is filled with a small amount of halogen (bromine and iodine) and inert gas. The life of the bulb is ...
